How to remove watermarks and text from photos

Brush over watermarks, logos, or overlaid text and erase them with Erasekit. 3 credits per erase; 2 free daily for guests; packs from $9.90.

Short answer: Erasekit can remove overlaid watermarks, logos, stickers, and text when you brush those pixels and run Remove. Each erase costs 3 credits (guests get 2 free per UTC day). Credit packs start at $9.90. Credits never expire. Typical wait is about 1–2 minutes.

Legal note first

Removing a watermark or logo does not grant rights to the underlying photo. Only edit images you own or are licensed to modify. Do not strip marks from third-party stock, news, or social content to republish without permission. Erasekit’s terms require lawful use; support will not help with rights-infringing requests.

What works well

  • Date stamps, camera overlays, and simple corner logos on relatively flat backgrounds
  • Captions or stickers that sit on sky, walls, or solid colors
  • Repeated semi-transparent marks when you carefully cover each instance

Harder cases: marks over faces or fine textures, heavy compression, or dense tiled watermarks across the whole frame. You may need more than one pass (each pass uses free quota or 3 credits).

Brush workflow for text and marks

  1. Upload the photo (JPG / PNG / WebP; max edge 2048 after client downscale).
  2. Zoom mentally on the mark: paint red over every glyph or logo blob, including faint edges.
  3. Avoid painting important subject detail you want to keep.
  4. Click Remove, then inspect at 100% for leftover letters or halos.
  5. Download or Edit again with a tighter mask if fragments remain.
